Formal Gowns

Personal projects designed for special occasions, each piece pushed abilities and became a study in how structure and movement interact. The processes pushed skills in shaping silhouettes, managing fluid materials, and refining hand-drafted construction. Across the three gowns, I experimented with paneling, asymmetry, and corsetry to create distinct identities, all connected through motion, texture, and advancing my technical range.
Ariel Prom Gown
Inspired by Kim Kassas’ Ariel gown from the Siren Call collection, this two-piece design brings youth into romantic couture. Fully drafted through draping, the look features a blush satin base layered with pink glitter lace. The structured corset flatters the waist, while the gathered skirt drapes asymmetrically to one side, opening into a soft slit for movement.

Flowa Prom Gown
Designed for a dramatic silhouette and fluid movement, the gown is fully drafted through draping and features a red and black shot satin. Its double-layer skirt features an outer panelled layer that amplifies the motion and flow. The tie-back wraps forward, shaping the chest and accentuating the waist.

Graduation Gown
An earth-inspired gown, this two-piece design pairs a corset and skirt, both fully drafted through draping. Made from brown satin and tan tulle, the corset forms organic lines with an asymmetrical, sculptural hem, while the tulle is arranged to echo the movement of a brisk breeze.
